take the following points into consideration when I think about
positive class participation
1.
Are you participating by listening and responding appropriately
to your partner?
2.
Are you trying to stay in Spanish as much as possible?
3.
Are you following instructions?
4.
Is the content of the message consistent with the context? (If
you are supposed to be asking questions about cars, are the questions
about cars and not about food or sports?)
5.
Would a sympathetic native speaker understand the message in
spite of grammar or pronunciation errors?
