The
St. Mary’s Mission/Red Lake Ojibwe Reservation Plunge offers students and staff
the opportunity to grow in and develop a richer understanding of the Native
American people. This experience is not a "mission" trip in the sense
of attempting to address a need or correct a problem on the reservation. Rather,
it is intended to give participants a hands on, lived experience of and with
the Indian people of Red Lake. The true work of the this immersion occurs when
the participants return to home and school and are called upon, and expected
to share with others their new found knowledge and experience of one group of
native people of America.
