The sites listed below are an excellent way to begin to develop a list of schools for further investigation.  Remember that the college admission process is not an exact science and that the suggestions generated from these searches may or may not be appropriate ones for you given your academic record, test scores, and the “selectivity” of the school.  Further research will be necessary to select the schools to which you will actually apply.

College search feature using standard categories of type of school, location, admission criteria, size, athletics, majors and financial aid.  This site also has information on SAT testing dates and registration and the PROFILE, a financial aid form required by some schools.

Minnesota's gateway to career, education, employment and business education.  Search educational opportunites in the state of Minnesota by school, program or geographic area.  Lots of career information too!

Searches two and four year institutions by type, size, location, percent of applicants admitted and percent who receive financial aid.  Links directly to college home pages if available.

This site offers college search, scholarship and financial aid information, electronic applications and more.

Searches data base of 3,500 schools using a criteria search or by name.  The search criteria do not include admission requirements so additional research will be required to evaluate your chances of admission.  Links to virtual tours for 250 schools, contains scholarship and financial aid information and allows you to apply electronically.
