Support CDH!

The commitment to providing an excellent, value-centered education, coupled with the challenge of providing affordable access to families of all economic levels, are the two most purposeful aspects facing CDH every day. We can't rest on our past laurels and hope that all will turn out well. We must take prayerful action to preserve our school, and we must do it now.

IRA Rollover
If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Cretin-Derham Hall and receive tax benefits in return. You can give any amount up to $100,000 per year from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as ours without having to pay income taxes on the money. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, but you may also see it referred to as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.

"I trust that my gift gives young people the same opportunity for personal and intellectual growth that I enjoyed during my years at Cretin, and the benefit of a solid education with a Catholic perspective.

Tell me a better way to spend your disposable income. The return is immeasurably rewarding. And I’ve never missed a dollar that I’ve given to CDH."

- John Erdos '54, IRA Donor

Endowments—Invest in Our Future
You have the power to help safeguard the future of Cretin-Derham Hall. How? By making an endowed gift. Your gift is an investment in our future, helping us grow and thrive for years to come.

To create an endowment, you give cash, securities, or other assets that we carefully invest to ensure it lasts forever. If you can't give up assets today, you can make the gift in your will, specifying that your gift be used to fund an endowment.

  • A current gift of $50,000 or more is needed to establish a named endowment at CDH.
  • This endowment can be funded by a gift of cash, appreciated stock or an  IRA rollover, or through a future gift in your estate plan.
  • Endowment naming opportunities are often desired to honor an individual, family or business.
  • An endowment agreement will be created to outline the designation of the endowed funds for scholarships or support for specific programs at CDH.

"I believed that one of the best ways to honor our son's life was to establish an endowment in his name at CDH. His mother and I value and take some comfort in the fact that the endowment will remain in effect and continue to provide scholarships after our deaths."
