Cretin-Derham Hall Boys Hockey program consists of a Varsity and Junior Varsity team. CDH uses Highland Arena as its home practice and game location. 

The Boys Hockey season begins Monday, November 16, 2009 thru first half of March.  The season is 17 weeks long with 25 regular season games. The JV and Varsity team play two to three games per week; including a holiday tournament. 

The Parent/Athlete Meeting for Boys Hockey is Monday, October 26, 2009 6:30 PM in the CDH Field House.

Previous hockey and/or skating experience are strongly suggested for participation. Ninth graders are encouraged to tryout for their Bantam Team in the event that they do not make the Varsity or Junior Varsity squad, in order to ensure they are able to play on a team.

Members of the Varsity and Junior Varsity Boys Hockey team are required to pay $300 to play hockey. This fee helps cover ice costs.  The hockey fee should be paid the first week of practice after teams are determined. Checks should be payable to Cretin-Derham Hall.

Monday, November 16: Group 1 - 3:20 - 4:20 @ Highland Arena. (Group 1 consists of all Juniors and Seniors plus Sophomores who played in CDH program last year.)                                                                                                                                                                                                             Group 2 - 4:30 - 5:30 @ Highland Arena. (Group 2 consists of all 9th graders and 10th graders who were not in the CDH program last year.)

Saturday, November 21:  Group 1 - Scrimmage @ Red Wing High School (10:15 v. Lakeville North, 11:30 v. Red Wing) Bus leaves CDH @ 8:15 AM.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Group 2 - Scrimmage @ Tartan 8:00 - 10:00 (Bus leaves CDH @ 6:45am)

**Forms must be handed in before practice starts on Monday, November 16th. 

Jerseys will be provided for tryouts.  A list with your color and jersey number will be posted each day at the arena. 

Group 1, Be prepared to start early.  The arena will sometimes let us on the ice at 3:00.  Organize transportation and equipment the night before.  Remember mouth guards!
