Welcome to the Cretin-Dreham Hall Boys Lacrosse Page! Cretin-Derham Hall offers competition at the Varsity, Junior Varsity and Prep Squad levels for Boys Lacrosse. The Varsity and JV Teams compete in 13 contests throughout the season. Lacrosse season begins on Monday, April 1st, 2013.
There is a requirement to purchase practice shorts and jerseys. The link is now closed. If you missed the deadline, please contact the coach. The athletic direector ordered some extras for purchase. There is no other fee than this purchase.

Cretin-Derham Hall boys lacrosse will be entering the MSHSL for the first time in 2013 after a successful season in the MBSLA. There will be three teams participating: Varsity, JV, and a Prep (9/10) team. The team will practice and play home games in the new CDH turf field. The team competes in the Suburban East Conference. Most prep games will be on Saturdays. The parent/athlete meeting is February 25th at 5:45 PM in the Field House.
New athletes to the sport are very much encouraged to play. In it's initial year, 40 of the 62 players who registered had never played lacrosse before. Many went on to start on varsity for a 10-5 team that led the state in scoring. Lacrosse is the fastest growing team sport in America.
Lacrosse is a fast-paced team sport that fields 10 players on the field at any time. There are frequent substitutions that allow for roughly 23 players on each team getting playing time in any given game. In Minnesota, there are 61 teams that play in the MSHSL and another 21 that play MBSLA.

Cretin-Derham Hall hired Pat Donaghy as Boys Head Lacrosse Coach to lead their first boys lacrosse program. Coach Donaghy played Division III Men’s Lacrosse at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania as midfielder and was a four year letter winter and captain his senior year. After college, Pat played on the Scotland National Lacrosse Team from 1999-2001 playing in the European Championships. Coach Donaghy was an Assistant Coach at Swarthmore College 1998, 2002, 2004-2006. Additional coaching positions include Head Varsity Coach at Newark High School 1999-2000 and Delcastle High in Delaware in 2003. In 2008, Pat moved to Minnesota through work relocation and during this time he has coached and supported Woodbury Youth Lacrosse program 2008-present and assisted with the Woodbury High School Coaching Staff since 2010. Cretin-Derham Hall welcomes Coach Donaghy to lead and develop Boy Lacrosse as a club program in the spring of 2012 participating in the Minnesota Boys Scholastic Lacrosse Association (MBSLA). The 2012-13 school year CDH will compete in Minnesota State High School League and Suburban East Conference competition.
