NCAA Signing Day at CDH
February 1, 2012, was NCAA Signing Day for
student-athletes signing National Letters of Intent to play college
athletics at Division I and Division II universities/colleges.

Empty Bowls 2012
 The 10th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser benefiting Heifer International
will be held at CDH on February 15, 2012, during Justice Week. Over
1400 bowls of soup were served last year raising over $8,000 bringing
the grand total to date to over $56,000 raised for Heifer International. |
CDH Theater presents Almost Maine
 Almost Maine will be playing in the Lillian
Theater, February 10-12 and February 17-19. Performances begin at 7:00
p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2:00 p.m. on Sundays. |

CDH JROTC Program Hosts Upper Midwest Challenge
Cretin-Derham Hall's JROTC Department is hosting the
22nd Annual Upper Midwest JROTC Challenge on February 3, 2012, from
11:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Field House.

Smart and Healthy Students and Families
On January 26, 2012, juniors and seniors in Ann Marie Froehle’s “College
in the Schools” Human Anatomy and Physiology class created displays
about nutrition and its relationship to disease, particularly Type II
diabetes and atherosclerosis.

Jumpstart Your Future Day
 On Thursday, January 12, 2012, all junior students
attended Jumpstart Your Future Day, a day-long series of workshops and
speakers to help students get ready for the college search process and
begin formulating post-high school plans. |
CDH Remembers Br. Michael Collins, FSC
 The CDH community is mourning the death of Br.
Michael Collins, FSC, co-principal of Cretin-Derham Hall when it was
founded in 1987, at the age of 74 on January 8, 2012, following a brief
battle with cancer.

 On November 16, 2011, Cretin-Derham Hall finished strong in 2nd place with $268,909, winning a $10,000 prize.
