Rob Stupka Memorial Science ScholarshipThe Cretin-Derham Hall Science Department would like to announce the
creation of the Robert Stupka III Science Scholarship. Rob died
accidentally while studying
biochemistry and genetics at Iowa State University. Rob developed his
love of science while attending school at CDH and made the greatest
friends one could ever have.
Through the generosity of the Stupka family, two $1,000 scholarships
will be awarded to students who exemplify Rob’s passion and enthusiasm
for science. The recipient of the junior scholarship will have the
scholarship allocated toward tuition their senior year at
CDH. The recipient of the senior scholarship will have the award amount
designated toward an institution of their choosing for their first year
or college.
Scholarship Criteria:
The scholarship is open to any current CDH student that demonstrates a
similar love for science and the scientific process as Robert Stupka
III. Students that have successfully completed at least three years of
science are encouraged to apply regardless of their GPA or class rank.
The recipient of both scholarships will be announced at Honors Night,
which will be held in the Field house on May 20th at 7 p.m. In order to
be eligible, students must complete the application no later than
Monday, April 15th.

Volunteer Opportunities with the Science Museum of MinnesotaThe Science Museum Volunteer Department is committed to providing a
place for all young people who are interested in volunteerism and
actively being a part of their community. That is why we pay special
attention to having a youth-friendly volunteer environment. Youth are
part of our overall volunteer team so they gain experience working with
adults who have a passion and/or background in STEM (Science,
Technology, Engineering, Math), and receive benefits like all other
volunteers. To learn more, please click on the link below.
