Detailed 2011 – 2012 Calendar of Events:

Science Olympiad Meetings:

  • Informational Meeting: Monday, October 17th.
  • Regular Meetings: Tuesdays in Room A-212.

We will have our regular meetings in Room A-212 every Tuesday right after school. During this time, students find out which event(s) they want to compete in, practice & gather resources for their event(s) and discuss progress. Each meeting will be anywhere from 15 – 45 minutes depending on how much coaching a student may need. If you are planning to letter in Science Olympiad, you must attend 75% of the Tuesday meetings.

Competition Events:

Invitational Meeting at UW River Falls

Who If multiple students are interested in doing an event, their placement at the invitational meeting will determine who will represent our team at the regional and state competitions for that event. If you are seeking to letter in Science Olympiad, attending the invitational meeting is mandatory.

Where: The invitational meeting will be held on Saturday, January 21st, at the University of Wisconsin River Falls campus.

When: The meet will start at UW River Falls at 8 am. and end at 4 p.m. Students may arrange their own rides or they may take an activities bus from CDH. We will plan to meet at CDH by 7 am to arrive in time for competition and arrive back to CDH around 5 pm or earlier.

Why: The purpose of the invitational meeting is to provide a trial run of the events you will compete in for the regional and state meets. Each event will be scored just like the “real” competitions, but will not be counted toward our team’s placement.

Regional Competition at Bethel University
