Corporate Matching Gift Information
Corporate matching gift funds have
become critical in the growth of SPAFF. But in order for these gifts
to make a difference, they MUST be processed correctly.
ANYONE can give a matching gift –
parent, friend, alum relative etc. Most corporations have this
program for their employees to use as donations to schools,
non-profits and churches. It is to our schools advantage to accept
such gifts and handle them carefully.
Please follow these rules:
Staple check to corporate form.
Must have BOTH check and form together to process.
Put the form and check into the
student envelope.
Example $100 check = $100 matching
form. Student and HR receive $200 credit. Note this amount on
student envelope and your total on the bag.
NO RAFFLE TICKETS can be
accepted for this gift. This is a donation and it’s against the
law to accept raffle tickets for either the check amount or the
matching gift amount. Your HR and student will be given full credit
for the all SPAFF incentives.
Please help your student with
this process. If it is done incorrectly both the homeroom and
student loses out in addition to CDH.
If there is a question, have
student see me or mark form with check to my attention.

Donation Information
ANYONE can give a donation to SPAFF –
parent, friend, alum, relative etc. Many people prefer to do this
rather than buy tickets, as tickets are not tax-deductible. It is to
our schools advantage to accept such gifts and handle them carefully.
Please follow these rules:
NO RAFFLE TICKETS can be
accepted for this gift. This is a donation and it’s against the law
to accept raffle tickets for said donation. Many people don’t
know this and they want both raffle tickets and a donation letter.
Please help your student with this process. Mark the check for
donation clearly or to my attention. We pull all donations when
counting and process them differently. If we don’t receive
clear designation we must assume that raffle tickets were purchased
with the money. Students and homerooms will be given FULL credit
for this donation to SPAFF. If there is a question, either you
or your student see me.
