Dear Parents and Guardians,
What is SPAFF? Why does SPAFF take place?
First, SPAFF stands for Students, Parents, Alumni/ae, Faculty and Friends working together to help support the foundation and future of Cretin-Derham Hall. Secondly, SPAFF was created so each and every one of us would take ownership of our school.
Tuition is $10, 500 this year, however, it will take $13, 815 to educate your child. Cretin-Derham Hall's tuition is the second lowest of all Metro Area Catholic High Schools. That’s amazing! Driven by the goal of being the lowest Catholic school tuition, SPAFF is critical to that end. This goal reflects ownership and commitment by all.
To make SPAFF successful, we ask for your support and your student’s support. There are prizes, lunchtime perks and homeroom treats offered during SPAFF. It’s a spirited time and an important time as we ask each student to personally help create the special place CDH is and understand the impact of working together in support of their school. To make SPAFF a success, we ask each student to raise their quota of $150.00.
Each day when your student walks into CDH, they are reminded of the CDH Values – Catholic, Academic, Leadership, Community, Service, Diversity, Equity – whether in the classroom, the playing field, or the many clubs and activities. Would you want it any other way? This is a school where they will discover their place in this world, make friends they will have all of their days, and learn what it means to be a good person.
Years ahead, when your children mention that they attended CDH, it will make a college counselor smile, it will start a terrific conversation at a wedding, it will cause an alumni employer to strongly consider them for a job. When your children stride into this building, they are really striding right along with a wonderful group of people who also participated in the growth and endowment of Cretin-Derham Hall. The gifts your children receive here will bless them for many years to come.
