Playing Time Policy VarsityVarsity roster spots for individual competitions are
determined by wrestle-offs. Wrestlers compete directly against one
another, and the winner of the match is given the varsity position for
one week, at which point they may again be challenged for their
position. The lineup for team matches is determined by the coaching
staff based on whichever configuration gives the team the greatest
chance of success. Junior VarsityJunior
Varsity competition is generally held at every varsity event before the
beginning of the varsity event. Some tournaments or duals may not
feature junior varsity competition, at the discretion of the hosting
school. Every junior varsity wrestler is given equal opportunity to
compete, based on the availability of extra wrestlers from an opposing
team at their weight class. |
