Recovering Infinite Campus Passwords and Usernames

Parents and students can reset their own Infinite Campus passwords and/or recover their usernames. In order to do so, security preferences must be set.

Setting Security Preferences

The Campus Portal incorporates the highest level of security. Parents/guardians can see only information related to the students they are authorized to view. The use of strong passwords, forced password reset and session timeouts ensure secure access.

CDH has set up households to which the student belongs, depending on the information provided about parent and guardian rights, living arrangements, etc. Parents and guardians will only have access to the links which they have been given permission, to ensure student privacy. Students who have access to the Portal only have access to view their own data.

When you attempt to log into the Portal for the first time, you will see this message:

Choose "Yes" to set your security preferences. If you select "Not Now," you will be able to access the portal information, but this option can only be used 3 times.

When you choose "Yes," you will taken to a screen similar to this:

Enter your new password and your secure email address, and choose 8 pictures you like and 8 pictures you don't like. You will only need to do this once.

Enter your Username and select the Next button. The Reset Your Password editor will refresh and inform you to check your email for a unique URL which needs to be selected in order to move on to the next step.

You will receive an email similar to the one below. Click on the URL in the email you receive (NOT the one below), or copy and paste it into a browser to move to the next step.

Once you accesses the URL provided in the email, Step 3 of the Reset Your Password editor appears. You must recognize and select 4 Like or Dislike images from the 8 Like and Dislike images chosen when setting up the account security preferences.

For example, in the image below, you are asked to click on the 4 images that are from your Dislikes and select the Next button. The rest of the images will be random images that are neither Likes nor Dislikes.

Once four correct images are selected, you can enter a New Password and Re-enter the Password (see below) to ensure its accuracy. The box to the left of each field indicates the strength of the password. Red indicates weak, yellow indicates medium and green indicates strong. You cannot save a weak or medium (red or yellow) password. Once an appropriate new password is entered, select the Submit button. The account password is now reset and you can log into your account using the password.

Recovering Your Username

Users can request their forgotten username up to five times per day. On the sixth try, the user will be locked out of their account and will need to wait until the next day to try again.
