We continue to host families of prospective students for school tours. January 18 is the secondary application deadline and there will be a placement test on that day as well.

Sister Chris Ludwig, CSJ, has dedicated her life to education, music, and social justice, leaving a lasting impact on students and communities through her work as a teacher, choir director, campus minister, and advocate for the mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph.

Nancy Parlin ’52, a dedicated supporter of Cretin-Derham Hall, made a lasting impact as a donor by establishing the $200,000 Title IX Challenge and the Nancy Parlin ’52 Scholarship Endowment, ensuring future generations of female students have access to quality education and athletic opportunities.

The CDH Robotics Team—Wind Chill (FRC Team 2450)—is a student-driven program where engineering, innovation, and mentorship come together, culminating in a successful season that saw them finish 5th in alliance playoffs at the 10,000 Lakes Regional.

President Jeb Myers and Steve Walsh ’85 hosted a Chicago alumni event on April 23, bringing together graduates from Cretin, Derham Hall, and CDH for an evening of reconnection, community, and school updates.

Fourteen Cretin-Derham Hall Fine Arts students created hand-drawn portraits for children in Malawi as part of the Memory Project, a global initiative that connects youth through art to promote compassion and cultural understanding.

The Twilight Parade and Awards Ceremony honored the achievements of CDH cadets, celebrated retiring leaders, and marked a meaningful transition of command between graduating and rising senior classes.

More than 80 alumni gathered at Shrode Field on May 2 to celebrate the life and legacy of legendary coach Dennis Denning, whose impact on CDH baseball continues to inspire generations.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of alumni, parents, and donors, CDH raised $979,972 on GiveCDH Day to support scholarships, tuition assistance, and vital facility upgrades—surpassing every challenge and strengthening the future of our school.

The 2024–25 spring season was one for the books at Cretin-Derham Hall, with three teams advancing to state tournaments and individual athletes earning top honors, championships, and statewide recognition.

Cretin-Derham Hall’s Raider Strength and Speed program, a seven-week summer training initiative in partnership with Training Haus, builds confidence, athleticism, and team cohesion in over 300 student-athletes through high-level speed, strength, and agility development.

The counseling department kicked off August with its annual College Application Boot Camp. Run by CDH college counselors Laura Nelson and Mitchell Reynolds, the camp aims to prepare rising seniors with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate the college application process with confidence. 

Cretin-Derham Hall gathered in prayer at our Opening School Mass to bless the new school year, stand in solidarity with the Annunciation community, and reaffirm our commitment to faith, safety, and belonging.

The 107th Annual JROTC Fall Review at Wingerd Field celebrated a century-long tradition of service and leadership, officially welcoming new cadets and recognizing outstanding ninth-grade performers in a ceremony rich with history, discipline, and pride.

This fall, CDH proudly welcomes four college students from the Lasallian Institute for the Formation of Teachers (LIFT), a mission-driven program shaping the next generation of Catholic educators through hands-on experience, community life, and faith-based formation.

CDH Theater closed out a successful fall season with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, delighting audiences with five lively and laughter-filled performances.

CDH closed out an outstanding fall season with two state-bound teams, numerous postseason awards, and strong performances across all sports. Our Raider athletes exemplified “Culture Creates Champions” through their dedication in competition and in the classroom.


CDH students, faculty, and staff gathered for the Immaculate Conception Mass, with students contributing through music, readings, and other meaningful roles.
