Mike Keis ’05, Capital Markets Accounting Manager at Piper Sandler investment bank and generous supporter of CDH, talks about how he uses his company's Matching Gifts Program to make his CDH donation dollars go further.

Fr. Pat Kennedy led Easter Mass in the field house on April 4, with several students and staff taking part with the readings and music.

Eleven CDH students representing seven projects participated in the State History Day Competition this on Saturday, April 20. This group is among the top 6 percent of the thousands participating in Minnesota History Day this year!

This year’s Chicago Alumni Event was held at Siena Tavern, River North and included twenty-five Cretin, Derham Hall and Cretin-Derham Hall alumni.

We will be updating and enhancing our Health & Wellness spaces for all students. Construction began on March 25.

Our CDH Center for Digital Storytelling is equipped with state-of-the-art resources to support our teachers’ instructional practices and help engage students in additional learning experiences.

CDH honors three hard working juniors with annual book awards.

Nearly 200 alumni and friends participated in the 2nd annual Raider Open Golf Tournament on July 8 at the Mendakota Country Club. The Raider Open was established in 2023 to build community and raise funds to offset the costs of student athletic and activity fees.

Girls Varsity Tennis Coach Tim Spika and Boys Varsity Tennis Coach Randy Muetzel have been sharing their love of tennis with generations of students not only during the school year, but also each summer, when they come back on campus to teach summer camps.

For this year's Teacher Academy, CDH selected Spanish teacher Dr. Alexis Howe’s proposal, “Learning for Justice: A Civil Rights Journey through Atlanta, Montgomery, Selma, Birmingham, and Tuskegee.” At the end of June, Howe and six other teachers traveled through Georgia and Alabama to visit Civil Rights Movement landmarks, memorials, and museums.

Frank Miley, former president of Cretin-Derham Hall, has been recognized as an Affiliated Member of the Brothers of the Christian Schools for his nearly four decades of dedicated service to advancing the Lasallian mission. His contributions include significant initiatives in education, community building, and promoting the values of faith and service within the Lasallian tradition.

Each year, the juniors and seniors of CDH's Link Crew are responsible for welcoming a new class of incoming ninth graders. Link Crew helps prepare them for high school and introduces them to the CDH community with a student-led orientation day before the ninth graders' first day of class.

It’s an exciting time for music at Cretin-Derham Hall as CDH welcomes new band director Teddy Williams. Williams will join choir director Delilah Schuster, who started at CDH last year, in continuing to grow music education for students.

The 106th Annual JROTC Fall Review Ceremony took place on October 2 at Wingerd Field, commemorating the first public march of the Corps of Cadets during the November 1918 Thanksgiving Day Parade. The event also marked the official induction of new cadets into the Raider Brigade Corps. A select few were recognized for their outstanding early contributions.

Cretin-Derham Hall seniors engage in fieldwork as an integral component of their senior religious course. Seniors leave campus midday, using their class period and lunch/flex to work in the community.

Every September, ninth graders participate in a workshop on multiple intelligences (MI) as part of their Values classes. This workshop helps students discover their individual strengths and broadens their understanding of what it means to be “smart.”
