1950s

▲ The Cretin Class of '54 enjoyed lunch at Crooked Pint at their quarterly meeting.


1970s

▲ The Cretin Class of '76 meets monthly for breakfast in St. Paul. It is a great opportunity to get updates, recall "Glory Days", have fun, and support each other. There are typically 10-16 alumni in attendance. See the photo from the December breakfast.  We have started planning for our 50th anniversary in September 2026.


1980s

Martha Hanzel Johnson ‘87 stopped by campus and visited with school President Jeb Myers. Martha is the Chief Academic Officer and Provost for CEA CAPA Education Abroad.


1990s

Johnny Tauer ‘91 and Arvesta Kelly ‘93 celebrated the renaming of the Len Horyza Gymnasium at Cretin-Derham Hall.

Johnny Tauer ‘91 is the head Coach of the University of St. Thomas Men’s Basketball Team, which recently earned their 20th victory of the season. It is also the third 20-win season in a row, with the University moving to Division I from Division III in 2021. Congrats, Coach.

▲ CDH Basketball Head Coach Jerry Kline, Jr ‘93 tied former Raiders coach Len Horyza as an all time leader in victories with 523 wins.

Steve Mason ’93 started a new position as Managing Director at AHEAD.

Sarah Kolar ’94 was recently named to Insurance Business America’s 100 Best Insurance Leaders in the USA 2026. Sarah is the General Counsel U.S. and Chief Compliance Officer at Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions.

Molly Doran ’94 was a recipient of the Hamline University Community Award.  Molly is the Graduate Enrollment & Student Success Specialist at Hamline. (Molly and Isaac Garcia '24 share this award update and they are in a photo together.)

David Shields ’98 started a new position as Vice President for Business Insurance and Employee Benefits at Lockton.


2000s

Brian Knutson ’00 started a new position as Construction Project Manager with Westpfahl Construction.  Brian recently retired from the US Army, where he served as a Professor of Military Science at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

Zach Cizek ’07 started a new position as Regional Sales Manager at Baxter International Inc.

Andrew (Drew) C. Kuettel ’08 was recently named Partner at Perkins Coie (Phoenix).  Drew advises clients in a variety of strategic transactions, including M&A, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, debt transactions, restructurings, joint ventures, and project financings.

Willie Schneider ’09 is Director of Pro Personnel for the Seattle Seahawks, the 2026 NFL Super Bowl Champions.


2010s

Logan Oppegard ’12 worked as a Suite Sales Manager with the Chicago Bears during the 2025 season.  He joined the organization in 2022. 

Katie Hull ’14 started a new position as Vice President at Stream Realty Partners in Chicago.

Sam Gowan ’15, PA-C began his career as a Physician Assistant in General Surgery with Fairview Health Services.

Thomas Konetschka ‘15 started a new position as Barge Freight Trader at CHS Inc. 

Daniel Gainer ’16 started a new position as a Transportation Planner at Michael Foods. Daniel is a United States Marine Corps (USMC) veteran, culminating in the rank of Captain in the USMC.

Molly Hynes ‘16 presented at the USA Hockey meetings in Nashville with SportsEngine. Molly received the Scott Trenda Award, honoring employees who embody the company's core values.

Abe Schwinn ’19, MBA earned a recent promotion to Account Executive II at WWEX Group at Worldwide Express.

Truman Stewart ’19 started a new role as a Group Sales Account Executive with San Diego FC; previously, he worked with the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Wild.


2020s

Emily McQuillan ‘20 started a new position at Surmodics IVD, Inc.

Maxwell Kosir ’20 started a new position as Sales Market Manager for Minnesota with Brother Justus Whiskey Company.

Anneke van Oosterom ’20 started a new role as a Product Management Specialist at PTC after earning an MS in Artificial Intelligence from Boston University. 

Stella Dolan ’20, MBA started a new position as an Associate at Cushman & Wakefield.

Bailey Collmann ’20 started a new role as an Associate Buyer for the Cat & Jack Merchant Team at Target.

Jane Zirnhelt ’22 started a position as a Business Development Representative at RJ Young after earning a degree in Communications from Florida State University.

Caitlin Mulcahy ’22 will start a position as a Staffing Consultant at Beacon Hill in the Chicago Life Sciences Office after graduation. Caitlin studies Psychology and is the Captain of the Women’s Soccer Team at Lake Forest College.

Agostino Johnson ’23 accepted an internship with Uline as an International Trade Intern this summer; he studies International Affairs at Marquette University.

Lily Anderson ’23 attended WISE Boston’s Speed Mentoring Roundtable at Reebok headquarters with Endicott College; she studies Marketing and is a student-athlete on the Endicott Women’s Hockey Team (Lily is pictured third from the right in the photo).

Maren Gainer ’23 presented a project at the Ohio Recreational Sports Association and published an article; she studies Sport Management at the University of Dayton (Maren is pictured on the left in the photo).

Matthew McConville ’23 will join Tokio Marine HCC as an Underwriting Intern; he studies Finance at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

Morgan Perron ’23 will join Holmes Murphy as an intern; she studies Economics at the University of Minnesota.

Isaac Garcia ’24 is a recipient of the Hamline University Community Award.  Isaac is a student at the University of St. Thomas and the founder of Isaac’s Blessing Bags, a non-profit that provides essential care packages to the homeless. (Isaac and Molly Doran '94 share this award update and they are in a photo together.)

Amanda Sargent ’24 started a new position as an intern with the Leavey Executive Center at Santa Clara University; she studies Psychology at Santa Clara University.

Gideon Teuber ’24 started a new position as a Resident Advisor at St. Cloud State University; he studies Mass Communication & Media Studies.

Luke Madden ’24 earned Academic All-MIAC Honors at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University (Soccer, Midfielder). Luke studies Global Business.

Edward Krinke ’24 earned Academic All-MIAC Honors at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University (Soccer, Goalkeeper). Edward studies Finance.

Thomas Graves ’24 earned Academic All-MIAC Honors at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University (Football, Offensive Lineman). Thomas studies Economics.

Michael Seifu ’25 earned Dean’s High Honors at Case Western Reserve University with a 4.0 GPA this past semester.  Michael studies Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and he is a student-athlete on the Track Team.

Haran Ghirmay ’25 accepted an internship with Dominium. Haran studies Real Estate & Finance at the University of St. Thomas.
