Letter from the Principal - May 2026

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy May! Academics, campus ministry, athletics, activities, fine arts, JROTC, and our many celebrations will be winding down soon. Most importantly, our seniors will graduate in two short weeks.

When the seniors process down the aisle of the Cathedral, I always imagine the first moment they entered their parents’ and guardians’ lives. I think about the hopes and dreams you held for them and all the choices and sacrifices you made for them along the way. Yes, we adults make plenty of mistakes, but you provided the love, resources, and guidance they needed to grow into their own adulthood. Graduation is as much your celebration as it is theirs.

Very soon, it will be time for your daughters and sons to forge their own paths. You will remain a significant influence, but they will be creating their own lives. They will make their own decisions, celebrate their own successes, and experience their own disappointments. At times, you will still be right there alongside them, and many other times, you will be unaware of their trials and triumphs.

Sometimes it is difficult to let go and trust the process. I assure you, your sons and daughters are already remarkable young adults poised to live the ethical, joyful, faithful, and meaningful lives you imagined for them. They owe much of that to you and the many others who supported them along the way.

On May 27, our seniors will receive their academic diplomas, but more importantly, they will graduate prepared to live their lives. They will forever be in the Holy Presence of God, loving God and the dear neighbor without distinction.

Thank you for sharing this journey with us.

God bless you all,
Mona Passman, Principal
