Busy Summer for National Honors Society

William Ek and Elisa Veglia, NHS co-presidents

The Cretin-Derham Hall chapter of National Honors Society was active this past summer with help from co-presidents William Ek '23 and Elisa Veglia '23.

Besides a broad variety of individual service, two group service initiatives included volunteering at Carondelet Village Retirement Community and Second Stork. At Carondelet Village, NHS members served directly with residents and helped with landscaping. Members also organized and delivered resources for Second Stork, a non-profit assisting expectant parents in need.

The 54 members of NHS look forward to maintaining strong service initiatives in the new year. If you have any ideas or options for service, feel free to contact NHS adviser, Steven Tacheny.
