CASA Cup Builds Community

June 10, 2020

CASA is one of the hallmarks of the CDH experience. It provides students a chance to build relationships with other students, faculty, and staff outside of the classroom. Earlier this year, the program was refreshed to be even more intentional in building those connections.

When students were sent home in mid-March, CASA as we knew it had to change too.

We launche a new CASA competition where CASA Houses competed for the Raider Cup as well as an opportunity to win individual prizes. The Quarantine Cup included weekly challenges for students, faculty, and staff to complete in order to earn points for their CASA House.

Challenges included creating memes about online school, holding a Google Meet with your CASA, creating videos about staying well in quarantine, and more.

"This was a great opportunity for students to show their school spirit and to engage in some healthy competition during a difficult time," Dean Amy Bellus '90 said.

Wisdom House earned the most points over the course of the challenge - congratulations!

There were six students who completed every challenge and will be receiving commemorative t-shirts later this summer. A special congratulations to:

Greta Cunningham '23 (Joy House)
Danny McGraw '20 (Wisdom House)
Martha Enestvedt '21 (Wisdom House)
Marselio Mendez '21 (Hope House)
Antonio DeVito '21 (Courage House)
