Celebrating Another Successful GiveCDH Day!
November 12, 2024
GiveCDH Day was a great success, with generous support from 581 donors who contributed over $1,151,248, allowing us to meet every challenge throughout the day! This included a surprise $400,000 estate gift that was received during the giving period.
A special challenge offered by John Schaller '71 to the JROTC community proved especially impactful, generating $45,000 specifically for tuition assistance for students enrolled in the JROTC program. Thank you to the dedicated JROTC families, alumni, and supporters who stepped up and John Schaller for your generosity.
This year’s GiveCDH Day also served as a significant boost for the Campaign for Raider Excellence, which is off to a fantastic start with strong momentum. Gifts given on GiveCDH Day directly support this campaign, which focuses on critical initiatives to benefit every student at CDH.
The Campaign for Raider Excellence will:
- Continue our commitment to essential tuition assistance and scholarships, making CDH accessible to families from all backgrounds.
- Upgrade vital campus facilities that impact students' daily experiences and are nearing the end of their functional lifespan.
Key campaign projects include:
- Joe Mauer Field House – Replace floor and bleachers
- Pat Dalton Fitness Center – Update equipment
- Wingerd Field – Replace turf
- Shrode Baseball Field and Softball Field – Add new seating, batting cages, and dugouts
These upgrades and the support for tuition assistance help keep tuition affordable and provide significant needs-based aid, ensuring that any family wanting a CDH education for their children can achieve it.
