Eight of Our Student-Athletes Announce Their NCAA Division III Plans

Signing Day is an exciting time for high school athletes across the country, as they announce their intentions to play collegiate sports at the post-secondary level. CDH held a ceremony at the school on May 9, where eight of our senior student-athletes continued a tradition of excellence for the Athletic Department at Cretin-Derham Hall. Having been accepted to NCAA Division III institutions, they each signed a Celebratory Signing Form and formally announced their academic and athletic intentions for the fall.

Lily Anderson ’23 will take her academic and athletic talents to Endicott College in Beverly, MA. She will be playing Division 3 Hockey in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference. 

Lily Cade ’23 will head to Wellesley College in Wellesley, MA, where she plans to play Division 3 Tennis in the New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference.

Alim Kamara ’23 will take his academic and athletic talents to St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN where he plans to play Division 3 Football in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the Oles.

Piper Lee ’23 will take her academic and athletic talents to Denison University in Granville, OH, where she plans to compete in Division 3 Track and Field in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Ashlyn Marxhausen ’23 will take her academic and athletic talents to Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA, where she plans to compete in Division 3 Lacrosse in the Centennial Conference.

Fiona Oberhofer ’23 will take her academic and athletic talents to Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL, where she plans to compete in Division 3 Hockey in the Midwest Conference.

Rezza Sevenich ’23 will take her academic and athletic talents to the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph, MN. Rezza plans to compete in Division 3 Dance in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Ryan Warford ’23 will head to Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN, where he plans to advance his academic and athletic talents by playing Division 3 Football and Baseball in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the Johnnies. 

In closing, Director of Athletics, Matt Funk, said, "We are proud of our eight student-athletes who have decided to further their education and career readiness by taking their athletic talents to the collegiate level. Congratulations to our talented group of student-athletes. It is a proud moment for our school and athletics department to see you achieve your goals and dreams."
