Media Coverage: CDH Celebrates Mauer - Twins Surprise Him by Retiring No. 7

Joe Mauer'01 is surrounded by media after the Twins announce that his jersey number 7 will be retired.CDH President Frank Miley and the CDH community hosted a celebration of Joe Mauer ’01 with an all-school assembly led by his longtime friend and classmate, Admissions Director Tony Leseman'01 and high school baseball coach, Jim O’Neill ’74.

The CDH celebration turned into quite an event when the Minnesota Twins became involved. The Pohlad family planned to surprise Mauer and announce to the truly “hometown” gathering that the organization was going to retire his No. 7 jersey.
