Taste of CDH Brings Community Together

The 9th annual Taste of CDH event was a successful evening! Restaurants and bars with CDH connections gave our community a “taste” of the food and beverages they have to offer. 

A few new vendors participated for the first time at the event, including Brian Smith ‘11 and his wife, Julia Odima Smith ‘12, representing Jersey Mike’s Subs. "As someone who grew up in St. Paul and also an alumni of CDH, my wife Julia and I could not have been happier joining the Taste of CDH for the first time this year. Everyone made us feel so welcome to be back to our alma mater, which gave us a sense of joy to revert our attention back to the institution where we met and started our foundation together."

Long-time vendors also enjoyed the event. Paul ‘80 and Wendy Sevenich represented their business, Nothing Bundt Cakes. Their daughter, senior Rezza Sevenich ‘23, helped as well. Wendy noted, “We love attending this event every year! It is fun to interact with all the businesses that are part of the CDH community. It is well organized with a high level of communication. There is ease of access for set up and tear down and the staff is available for any questions. Also a great networking opportunity!”

The Taste was attended by nearly 400 people, with local businesses generously donating their time.  Students representing various co-curriculars were available to assist with GiveCDH: Beyond the Books. Volunteers from the CDH Alumni Board, the Parents Association, the Raider Rack school store, and more than 50 student volunteers helped the event run smoothly.  All of the money raised will go toward tuition assistance. We are grateful for our amazing community!
