Peer Support Services

Peer Tutoring

Peer tutoring is run by students from the CDH National Honors Society Chapter, ensuring the community receives the best student tutors. With the assistance of the counseling department, peer tutoring is a student-led group, offering more approachable perspectives of lessons and concepts. Services are offered during flex, before, and after school. If you are in need of a walk-in session before school on late start days (days that start at 9:20am and 8:30am), peer tutors will be available.

PFP Mentoring Program

People Finding People is a mentoring program in which 12th grade students are matched up to mentor 9th- and 10th-grade students, as well as transfer students, one on one, throughout the school year. All 9th grade, 10th grade and transfer students have the opportunity to be paired with a year-long mentor. PFP is a safe place for mentees to share experiences, work through the stresses of high school, and create a connection with a senior. The seniors chosen to be mentors for the program are picked after a thorough application and interview process.

Each mentoring pair meets once a week during the school day. From struggles to everyday life, students have the opportunity to talk to their upperclassman mentor about anything.
