In honor of Jenny Haigh '91, a group of those who knew and loved her would like to have her name on the Wingerd Field scoreboard at Cretin-Derham Hall. Jenny passed away April 14, 2018 at the age of 45, a mother, wife, athlete and proud Cretin-Derham Hall alum. Jenny was a three-sport Varsity athlete and went on to be a scholarship soccer player at the University of Wisconsin -Madison. Jenny coached Division 1 college soccer at Arizona State University, University of Missouri, and in 2000, when hired as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Northwestern University, was the youngest Division 1 head coach in the country. She was inducted into the CDH Athletic Hall of Fame just months after her death in 2018.

Please join us in raising money for CDH to ensure Jenny’s legacy of athletic excellence is remembered and to honor her at CDH for being an amazing teammate and classmate!

Our goal is to raise $180,000 before the 2025 girls’ soccer season begins in August. The new CDH Head Girls Soccer coach this fall will be Jenny’s widow, Aileen Guiney. Aileen joins CDH after most recently coaching at St. Paul Academy where they won the state title in 2023. Aileen also coached at the University of Michigan and played at Northwestern University.
