Cretin-Derham Hall's high school drawing courses are intended to introduce students to the fundamentals of drawing.
These trimester long courses emphasize the learning of the elements and principles of design. Assignments and projects are based off those elements and principles and use a wide range of media such as pencil, pen/ink, chalk and oil pastels, and charcoal. Advanced courses are created to further the development of students' drawing skills, visual comprehension skills, ability to describe artwork, exploration of mixed-media, and documentation of a digital portfolio.
Courses available are Drawing I, II, and III along with Independent Studio Study.
