The recipients of each award are recognized at the Cretin-Derham Hall Community Awards Dinner in October.
Bishop Joseph Cretin Award
The Bishop Joseph Cretin Award is presented annually to a distinguished alumnus in recognition of outstanding service to the community and to Cretin High School, and for achievements in his profession exemplifying the highest and best traditions of Cretin.
2017 Recipient is Mike Kammerer '58
The St. DeLaSalle Award
The St. De LaSalle Award is presented in memory of the founder of the Christian Brothers and given annually to a member of a religious community in recognition of outstanding service to his community and to Cretin High School and for achievements in his ministry exemplifying the values and traditions of Cretin High School.
2017 Recipient is Mark Crea '74
Eugene & Mary Frey Community Award
The Eugene and Mary Frey Community Award is named in recognition of the tremendous commitment Gene and Mary have demonstrated to Cretin-Derham Hall and to our larger community in numerous ways. The recipient of this award is recognized for reflecting the mission and values of Cretin-Derham Hall through involvement with Cretin-Derham Hall and other community interests at large.
2017 Recipient is Terry Cummings '58
The Carondelet Award
Awarded annually to a woman in recognition of eminence attained in a particular field of endeavor thereby bringing honor to herself and to Derham Hall.
2017 Recipient is Tara Williams Fortune '73
The Hugh Derham Award
Awarded annually to a person in recognition of loyal service rendered to Derham Hall High School, now Cretin-Derham Hall, through work aimed at bettering the school, its objectives, and ideals.
2017 Recipient is Maria Wagner Reamer '82
Monsignor Ambrose Hayden Legacy Award
Recognizing an individual whose spirit and energy reflect an understanding of the need to preserve the past and provide for future generations.
2017 Recipients are John '57 & Cynthia O'Halloran
The Signum Fidei Award
The term, Signum Fidei, symbolized ‘rising star’ and this new award will be given annually to one male and one female who reflects the ideals of the Christian Brothers and the Sisters of St. Joseph. The award recognizes each of the recipient’s outstanding eminence in their particular field of endeavor and/or their outstanding service in the community.
