What is Link Crew?
The CDH Link Crew is a High School transition program that pairs Junior and Senior leaders with incoming first year students. The students initially meet their Link Crews at an exciting and fun-filled Orientation Day and reconnect with them throughout the year. The CDH CASA program offers additional support to the 9th graders as Link Crew Leaders are matched with members from their Link Crews in their CASA family. The Junior and Senior Link Crew leaders act as mentors and support our first year students as they navigate their way through their 9th grade year.
Our CDH Link Crew Leaders have diverse backgrounds and interests as to meet the needs of the students they mentor. For that reason, a highly selective process is used to select our leaders each spring.
Link Crew has been a part of Cretin-Derham Hall’s Co-Curricular activities since 2011 and credits The Boomerang Project for the curriculum used for 9th Grade Orientation and many of the subsequent follow-up activities.
