Funeral Arrangements for CDH Sophomore
October 10, 2018
The Cretin-Derham Hall family mourns one of its own, Owen Loftus, a sophomore, gone too soon.
The funeral for CDH sophomore Owen Loftus is Thursday, October 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Odilia Catholic Church in Shoreview.
School will be dismissed at 10 a.m. in honor of Owen and so that students, faculty, and staff may attend the funeral.
The sophomores will attend the funeral as a class. Bus transportation will be provided for them.
All other students are strongly encouraged to attend the funeral. Bus transportation will be provided.
Any students who attend the funeral should be in uniform. Students will not be staying for the luncheon, and buses will return to CDH at approximately 1 p.m. Taher will have some light snacks for purchase upon return.
We have designed a special schedule on Thursday and Friday so that students will not miss any class if they attend the funeral. This also allows teachers who wish to attend the funeral to do so. Students who are not attending the funeral may leave the building after 2nd period.
Seniors who do not attend the funeral will participate in their scheduled fieldwork/service.
The school will remain open; staff who do not attend the funeral will be here to supervise students; athletic practices and activities will continue as scheduled.
Thank you for your support of the Loftus family. Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
