7th Annual Legacy Gala
November 6, 2016
The 7th annual CDH Legacy Gala, the annual kick-off to the annual fund and our new GiveCDH giving day on November 5, was held at The University of St. Thomas James B. Woulfe Alumni Hall. The evening began with a social hour, followed by dinner, program, and music and dancing by the George Hottinger Blues Band.
The program began with prayer led by CDH Chaplin, Fr. Patrick Kennedy' 69, followed by student speaker Audrey Hapka'17, who expressed her sincere gratitude for her education at Cretin-Derham Hall. President Frank Miley and Vice President for Advancement Br. Pat Conway, FSC'71, offered remarks on the school's continued need for support from our community.
The Scanlan family served as this year's honorary host family. Scanlan and McMahon family members have graced the halls of Cretin, Derham Hall and Cretin-Derham Hall for many years, with the McMahon's beginning in the early 1900s and Scanlan's beginning in 1924. Their dedication to our community continues to this day.
Thank you to our Legacy Gala Co-Chairs, Greg & Nancy Johnson and Mike '85 & Margaret Moynagh in addition to the entire gala committee, our program advertisers, benefactors, sponsors and friends for making this annual event a tremendous success!
