Athena Award Winner Brieasha Hobbs

Brieasha Hobbs was recognized on Wednesday, April 20 as Cretin-Derham Hall's Athena Award Winner. The Athena Awards recognize the top female athletes in each school within St. Paul and surrounding suburbs. The award banquet was held at the Prom Center with U of M Interim Athletic Director, Beth Goetz, as the keynote speaker and Randy Shaver emceeing the event.

Brieasha is a standout student-athlete at Cretin-Derham Hall. She specializes in sprinting the 100, 200, and 400 meter dash. She is a state champion 400 meter dash and 100 meter dash, with multiple all statehonors. Brieasha is also a finalist for the St. Paul Lion's Award. Brieasha will continue to run track for the University of Minnesota next year on an athletic scholarship.
