CDH Explores Engineering at St. Thomas
June 6, 2019
After completing a half day of finals, 34 CDH 9th and 10th graders boarded a bus to the University of St. Thomas to attend the “Exploring Engineering Day.” At St. Thomas, students met with professors and attended two sessions highlighting some of the areas of engineering. Students chose from hands-on sessions such as fluid mechanics, electronics, digital cameras, and robotic surgery. St. Thomas engineering students shared their research projects and experiences with CDH kids. CDH students reported this experience enhanced their excitement for pursuing a career in science or engineering, according to Science teacher Joyce Nordby.
