CDH Students Train Other Schools on Blood Drive
October 13, 2016
Four members of the CDH Student Council Service Committee attended the annual High School Blood Drive Workshop at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis on September 22. This is an annual event held by the Memorial Blood Center to teach high schools how to run a successful blood drive. More than 50 high schools attend.
Our students were invited to act as “leaders” this year, helping to train those from other area high schools who are new to hosting a blood drive. CDH continues to be the leader in the state for units collected from a school during one school year.
The Memorial Blood Drive Excellence Award was awarded to seniors Mitchell O’Brien, Grace Muntifering, Kerry Schneeman and Bridget Carruth.
Mark your calendar - the next CDH Blood Drive is Friday, December 2 from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. The goal is 170 units of whole blood.Subscribe to our e-Newsletters
