CDH Tackles Cancer at Homecoming Game Oct 2

October 1, 2015

Homecoming Week at CDH will cap off with the football game, Friday, Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. at UST. Not only is it our Homecoming game, but it is also CDH's Tackle Cancer night. Our community has been deeply affected by cancer, especially on the football team, and we are proud to support Randy Shaver's program to raise money to fight cancer through our football fans. All monies stay here in Minnesota for cancer research.

This year, CDH will be selling "Tackle Cancer" towels at the game for $2.00 a piece. Buy yours at the game and wave them in support of our Raiders! We will also be taking donations at the game. Watch for the special video that highlights our students and faculty reflecting on how cancer has affected them.

Because it is Tackle Cancer night, we have a special guest: His name is Griffin Dahmen - age 7 who is currently undergoing cancer treatment at Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota. He and his family (mom - Jill, dad - Kurt, sisters - Hailey and Reese) are from Jordan, Minnesota. The CDH community has adopted them and wants them to know that they have the support of our school while they are up here receiving treatment. They will be introduced at the game Friday night for a warm CDH welcome. Remember to keep our CDH students and their families affected by cancer, as well as Griffin and his family, in your prayers. Go Raiders!!!!
