Celebrating Black History Month at CDH
February 10, 2021
While our Justice Week theme this year is exploring racism and the dynamics of race, Cretin-Derham Hall also wanted to make space to celebrate the many contributions Black Americans have made to history and culture.
Every school day, as part of our morning announcements, a student is reading a fact about a black American. Some of these have been recorded and will be released on the CDH Instagram and Facebook accounts throughout the month of February.
Additionally, Jesse Ross, an African American diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant and motivational speaker, will present on February 16 and 26, discussing Student Tools for Success. He has presented at CDH before and has been effective in challenging students to be the best version of themselves.
