Class of 2025 Graduates and Shares One Last Day Together

May 31, 2025

Cretin-Derham Hall’s Class of 2025 celebrated graduation on May 28 with a full day of traditions that marked the close of their time at CDH.

The day started with the Baccalaureate Mass at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, where seniors, their families, and CDH faculty and staff came together to celebrate and give thanks. During the Mass, a special audio recording featuring thoughtful words and advice - called “Pearls” - from more than 50 faculty and staff members was shared with the Class of 2025. Afterward, seniors and their families gathered in the Joe Mauer Fieldhouse for brunch, hosted by the Parents’ Association. The morning wrapped up with good food, conversation, and a chance to celebrate together one last time.

In the afternoon, the graduating class made their way to the Cathedral of Saint Paul for the formal commencement ceremony. Amelia Olin ’25 offered reflections as the student speaker, and Dr. Claire Bischoff ’97 was once again selected by the students to deliver the commencement address—an honor she has held for two consecutive years. Following the ceremony, graduates gathered on the cathedral steps for the cap toss.

The celebrations kept going into the evening with the senior lock-in back on campus. It was a fun, low-key night with games, activities, and lots of food - thanks to the many generous community supporters:

  • Nothing Bundt Cakes
  • Pauly's Pub & Grill
  • DeGidio's
  • Bennett's
  • Pizza Luce St. Paul
  • Davannis St. Paul
  • Jersey Mike Hamline store
  • Skinners Bar
