Could You Help Evaluate Seniors with their Action/Advocacy Projects?
April 17, 2018
We need your help! Our senior Spectrum students are nearly finished with their "Big" Action/Advocacy Project (BAP). BAP is a self-initiated project developed with support and feedback from their peers and teachers. By taking responsibility for their own learning and performance, we are confident that these students will have the skills and talents to succeed in their post-secondary studies and activities.
Students research a social problem, interview experts and advocates in the field, and develop a solution at a local level to make a sustainable difference. The final component of this project is to present their findings to a panel of adults.
The Action/Advocacy Projects will be presented in the CDH Commons on the dates listed below. We need community participation in these panels to evaluate, ask questions, and provide feedback. If you are able to serve on a project evaluation panel, please send an email to Jody Cornett at jcornett@c-dh.org with your preferred date/time — please note that the presentations are next week.
Monday, April 30: 12 - 1:35 p.m.
Tuesday, May 1: 11:50 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 2: 11:40 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. and/or 12:25 - 1:25 p.m.
Friday, May 4: 12 - 1:35 p.m.
