Cretin Class of 1968 Enjoyed Several Events for their 50-Year Reunion Week
September 25, 2018
The Cretin Class of 1968 has a very busy schedule during their 50-year reunion week. The class reunion celebration was to begin with a round of golf at Highland National but that activity had to be canceled due to the weather. Despite the rain, a number of gentlemen still visited together at the course's clubhouse.
Several alums then gathered in the afternoon at the Nook, across the street from CDH, to celebrate and reminisce. This was followed by more than 50 alums attending the annual Cretin Alumni Banquet together and being honored for their special reunion year.
On Friday, September 21, many classmates met again at CDH to honor their deceased classmates with a Memorial Mass and brunch.
Friday evening saw approximately 100 alums, along with four former teachers (Wayne Haag '56, Nick Paduano '59, Br. Michael Lee Anderson, and Mal Scanlan '61), at O'Gara's to wrap up two days of celebrations. This was the last Cretin reunion at O'Gara's before the restaurant closes on September 29, 2018, for remodeling.
Many will get together again on Saturday, September 29, to join other 1968 graduates at a Six School Celebration at the Pool & Yacht Club.
