Cretin-Derham Hall Receives MISF Grant
May 7, 2018
Cretin-Derham Hall recently received an Innovation Grant from the Minnesota Independent School Forum (MISF). MISF awards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) grants annually to elementary and secondary schools throughout the state. The grant funding is to assist schools in developing hands-on curriculum to prepare students to be workforce leaders in STEM careers. Supporters of the MISF STEM Program are the 3M Foundation, Schott Foundation, and Xcel Energy Foundation.
CDH administrators anticipate using the $6,200 grant to benefit STEM programming in areas such as the co-curricular Robotics team, teacher training, summer stipends, and mentors. Since piloting the STEM Grant Program in 2009, MISF has raised funds for and awarded more than $1 million.
