Cretin High School Class of 1947 Celebrates 70-Year Class Reunion

The Cretin Class of 1947 held their 70-year reunion on June 7 at Luci Ancora Restaurant, owned by classmate Al Smith'47. In attendance were 35 classmates including their guests. Some classmates were not able to attend but sent their greetings to the class.
To end the evening, the "Cretin Rouser" was sung in remembrance of their high school days. The Cretin Class of 1947 has some notable accomplishments and accolades, which are outlined below.
- 112 classmates who have served in our Armed Forces
- 4 classmates who were called to Priesthood, including one Trappist Monk
- 1 classmate who was an Admiral in the Navy
- 1 classmate who was a General in the National Guard
- 1 classmate who is a renowned physicist
- 1 classmate who is a renowned chemist
- 1 classmate who wrote 16 books
The tuition at Cretin High School at the time was $85/year.
We congratulate the Class of 1947 - Raiders for more than 70 years! - on their reunion and all their treasured memories!
