Founders Day Celebrated with Pig Roast Co-Sponsored by Taher
May 17, 2025
On May 15, CDH celebrated the legacy of our founders - the Christian Brothers and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet - whose vision for Catholic education continues to guide Cretin-Derham Hall. The Christian Brothers celebrate their Feast Day on this same day.
To mark the occasion, our community gathered for a Pig Roast lunch featuring roasted pork, roasted chicken, cowboy beans, corn on the cob, chips, and a salsa bar. Special thanks to Taher for partnering with CDH to sponsor this delicious lunch for all students and staff. Chef Chris Murray from Taher led the charge - guiding students from Ms. Keske’s classes in food prep and cooking overnight to make the meal possible.
Also joining us for the day was a giant St. Joseph puppet in the Forum, created by Heart of the Beast Theater and commissioned by the CSJs. The sisters shared this with us for the day and the Tacheny Family took care of delivering it to the school.
