Hall of Careers Highlights Alumni
October 21, 2019
For the last several years, Doug Laska '60 has been hard at work building out a digital Hall of Careers focusing on graduates of Cretin, Derham Hall, and CDH.
The Hall of Careers features dozens of alumni who have pursued careers in a wide range of fields. They are sorted into eight broad categories:
- Science and Engineering
- Health Care
- Legal Professions
- Education, Social Work, and Counseling
- Business, Industry, and Entrepreneurs
- Public Service and Military
- Music, Arts, Theater, and Literature
- Sports and Athletics
Laska pictures the Hall of Careers as a resource that will help current students and recent graduates understand the possibilities for their own career paths, while also giving alumni a place to learn about the accomplishments of their former classmates.
"We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Doug Laska for his vision and tireless dedication to this important project," said President Frank Miley. "Doug spent more than 1500 hours working on this project and is the primary reason the CDH Hall of Careers exists today. On behalf of the entire CDH community, I express our most sincere gratitude for all you have done to make this project a reality."
The Hall of Careers is on display on the iPads in the museum hallway and can also be viewed online at hoc.c-dh.org.
