JROTC Earned High Marks at Inspection
April 11, 2018
Every year since 1919, the JROTC program has been inspected by officials from military headquarters. This year, the University of Minnesota’s senior ROTC unit, as well as the Director of Third Brigade JROTC, headquartered at Great Lakes Naval Station, Illinois, handled the inspection.
Since the 1929-30 school year, the CDH program has continuously earned the highest rating possible. This year, that rating was in play and the Corps intended to earn the right to retain the Gold Star of an Honor Unit with Distinction designation.
On the morning of April 11, the Cadets arrived at school early, put on their uniforms, and formed up in the Field House for the inspection.
We are proud to say that all of the hard work paid off and, with a score of 96.5%, the Corps of Cadets was named an Honor Unit with Distinction for the 89th consecutive year.
