Julie Knopp'06 is the founder and director of City Stay, a non-profit that provides experiential education to break down barriers between the diverse cultural communities of the Twin Cities. Modeled after the study abroad concept, City Stay enables young Minnesotans of all colors and creeds to live with a new Minnesota family from a different culture.

Knopp's concept stemmed from experiences she had through the Spectrum class at CDH, especially the focus on the Catholic Social Teachings. It is the only known organization in the country offering local cross-cultural homestay programs. To learn more about City Stay, visit the website.
