Junior Achieves Eagle Scout
October 11, 2016
Drew Osterman, a current Junior, recently earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award.
Only 4 percent of all Boy Scouts attain the Eagle ranking. Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and complete a project for his community. Drew chose a project that provided spectator benches for the baseball fields at Grant City Hall.
Drew is a member of Boy Scout Troop 169 and served in leadership positions as Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader.
He joins other outstanding American citizens who have become Eagle Scouts, including astronaut Neil A. Armstrong and cinematographer, Steven Spielberg.
