Key Updates to Hybrid School
September 9, 2020
We are continuously revising our FAQ and Hybrid School Plan documents with the latest information.
We have made a few key updates that you should be aware of:
- Face masks are required on campus grounds. Please note: bandanas, scarves, gaiters, and other makeshift coverings are not permitted. Face shields are allowed, but must be worn with a mask.
- The Swivl robots that we have purchased for each classroom have a new ship-by date of “on or before September 18, 2020.” This is important because CDH will be able to fully integrate synchronous learning and/or distance learning once these Swivls arrive and teachers are trained in their use. Teachers can combine the Swivl live with Zoom allowing students to actively watch the teacher during the scheduled class time. In addition, the technology connects to a marker/microphone for recording audio throughout the room and uses the tethered iPad for recording video. Teachers can then save recordings to the cloud for access by students at a later date.
The FAQ and Reopening Plan are being consistently updated. The latest versions can always be found on our 2020-21 school plan page.
