Letter from the Principal
Mona Passman, Principal
April 10, 2019
We are a week away from the holiest time of our liturgical year, Triduum. Students and faculty will be off on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday so they can observe this time with their families and in their parishes. When we return, we will gather together as a school community on Friday, April 26 to celebrate Easter together at an all-school Mass. We are fortunate Archbishop Bernard Hebda will join us in our celebration.
Easter certainly signals spring, but as Catholics and Christians, we know it to be much more. The Paschal Mystery is the foundation of our faith as well as a foundation for the community of Cretin-Derham Hall.
With a late Easter this year, we will return to find ourselves celebrating many of our favorite spring traditions on campus. We hope to see you on campus - join us at Parent/Teacher Conferences on April 17, Taste of CDH on April 27, the spring musical “Jesus Christ Superstar,” along with the many spring sports contests and other activities.
Finally, our seniors will be returning from Easter Break with a few short weeks left of their high school experience. This time is filled with “lasts” including the Awards Ceremony, AP Exams, Prom, Last Supper, Baccalaureate, Graduation, and the All Night Party. Let’s embrace these last few weeks with them and help them to celebrate appropriately.
