Meet the Student Council Presidents
September 11, 2019
Hello, we are your 2019-2020 Student Council Co-Presidents.
We are extremely excited to lead CDH this year. Ever since middle school, we dreamt of becoming co-presidents together and now that it has become a reality, we cannot wait to get started. Our main initiative this year is boosting school spirit. This is very important to both of us, especially because of our deep family ties to the CDH community.
Therefore, to kick off the year in a positive and energetic fashion, we organized an all-school picnic on the first day of school. Students and faculty gathered in the field house and on the baseball field to eat lunch, jam out to music, and play games. It was a great way to cap off a great summer and begin an even better school year. Needless to say, we were very impressed with the energy that the community brought on the first day of school. This small event gave us a lot of hope moving forward.
The current project we are working on is Homecoming. Homecoming is a symbol of school spirit and we have many ideas to improve it. Whether it’s bringing back old traditions or creating new ones, we are focused on making this homecoming the best one yet.
Of course, it doesn’t stop at Homecoming. Throughout the year we will work to do exactly what we promised when we ran for co-president. We are committed to listening to the students and staff, understanding that we cannot control everything, but doing as much as we can to make the CDH experience the best it can be for everyone. We are honored to be in this position and look forward to a fantastic year leading the next generation of Raiders.
