Musical Theater Class Completes Showcase
By Katie Kreitzer, Theater Director
March 1, 2021
This video is the final showcase from Trimester II's Musical Theater Class. The course began with an Audition Unit. Students prepared two selections and held a mock audition by performing in person and on Zoom. Based on their audition, the teachers, Katie Kreitzer (Theater) and Tyler Berg (Music) cast each student in one main role as well as several minor roles from a wide genre of musicals. Over Christmas break, the students were given one number to direct. Students researched the show, prepared their own staging ideas for their number, and were ready to teach their staging when we returned to school in 2021.
