Students Shine at Ninth Grade Parent Mass

October 24, 2025

The 9th Grade Parent, Guardian, and Caregiver Mass on October 22, officiated by Father Pat Kennedy '69, was a celebration of gratitude and belonging. Centered on the theme “Gratitude for Parents, Welcome to the Community,” the Mass invited reflection on the important role families play in supporting students as they begin their high school journey.

Two ninth-grade students, Hannah Murphy ’29 and Joey Harris ’29, shared reflections that honored their parents and beautifully supported the day’s theme.

A highlight of the Mass was the courage and leadership shown by the ninth graders who participated. Six students sang and five served as readers, sharing their gifts in front of peers, parents, and teachers. “It shows incredible courage for ninth graders to read and sing in front of their peers and parents” said Campus Minister Mark McGuire.

While many of their classmates enjoyed a late morning, these students chose to begin their day with faith and service. “Impressive!” McGuire added.
